Audio Visual Studio
Video Editing
October 2022 - January 2023

Overview
This assignment tasked us with creating a short film within groups on the Audio Visual Studio module at UWE. This module taught us around how films are produced and the process undertaken, as well as guidance on filming and editing techniques. Here showcases my final film around the idea of an encapsulated reality where objects reflect the characters mental struggles and how it affects him. Below the showcase, you will find what each individual stage looked like within the project.
Ideation
Going through the ideation phase as a group through communication and devising a plan for how scenes were going to be shot.

Filming
When filming began, we used Canon XA11 camcorders for recording the cinematography and through most scenes. This was able to capture quality that was good and fitting for the project, as this camera was available for booking from the UWE project room. Through the week our group prepared all of the shots that we needed for our movie and moved onto editing.

Editing
Then with filming finished, we moved onto editing our own version of the film within our groups. The finished edits gathered a majority of the footage filmed with addition to sound edits and background music to help build the story within the film.
